Romans 8:4: Why God saved us

The common answer that God saved us simply so we could go to heaven misses the mark; our final hope is resurrection and life in the new creation rather than a disembodied eternity. Romans 8:4 shows that God saved us to fulfil the law’s righteous requirement in us and to walk according to the Spirit.
