Romans 8:12-13: The mortification of sin
Nick compares the Christian life to a housewife’s endless cycle of washing, worn and dirtied again almost as soon as it is clean, to describe the ongoing work of fighting sin in Romans 8:12-13. He shows that Christians are no longer debtors to the flesh, and that by the Spirit they are to be putting to death the deeds of the body.
