DESCRIPTION:Topic: A ‘Brief’ History of Bible Translations\nInstructor: Joe Fleener (Rolleston Baptist Church)\nHosted by: Rolleston Baptist Church \nThis edition of our Roving Classroom will provide an overview of Bible Translations. The morning will cover a grand sweep of translation history beginning with pre-New Testament translation of the Old Testament through very early translations of the New Testament and entire Canonical Scriptures. Special focus will be given to non-English translations represented by those languages spoken by many in our New Zealand congregations. The afternoon will give focus to the English Bible and its translation history. All of our time together will\, Lord willing\, not only add to our historical knowledge and appreciation but more importantly increase our thankfulness to the Lord for His Providential work in History to provide us with His Word in languages we can understand.
