Topic: The Doctrine of God (Part 2) The Trinity
Instructor: Ian Goodman (South City Reformed Baptist Church) and Nick Clevely (Covenant Grace Baptist Church)
Hosted by: South City Reformed Baptist Church, Auckland
The classical doctrine of the Trinity has helped believers to understand and articulate what the Scripture reveals about God and also helped us to worship him rightly. The church today has become unfamiliar with this tradition and we’re often confused or perhaps even in error in our thinking about God. The classical doctrine of the Trinity is essential for knowing and worshipping God rightly as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Matthew 16:13-18 Jesus tells us how important a right view of himself and his relationship to the father is for the Church. He is “the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Without this confession there is no church. This is what the classical doctrine of the Trinity is all concerned with.
